BUSI's COFFEE PAGE

My name is Busi Mapanga. I am in Gr10 in Giyani High School in Limpopo. I love IT! I think IT is gr8! @ Grade 10. I Like Coffee too, NO I am crazy about Coffee! Not the instant ones but the ones you make yourself from grounded beans. I like the real stuff! One day I would like to be a famous barista. I also dream of opening my own coffee shop: Br’a Busi’s Coffee.

Here is a few interesting facts about coffee. Coffee is the second most traded item in the world, second only to oil. Coffee is made from the roasted seeds of a coffee plant which is called “beans”. Africa produces some of the world’s best coffees.   Brazil is the world’s biggest producer. There are various types of tools and machines available to make coffee, from plungers to espresso pots, and modern coffee espresso machines. Some coffee are “pressed” and served with or without milk. Espresso is one shot coffee, without any milk, which is normally strong and served in a small cup.   I am fond of a Cappuccino.

In South Africa the most popular and common way's real cofee are served and presented on coffee menu's are:

• Cappuccino: which is one part espresso, one part steamed and frothed milk and one part coffee foam.
• Café Latte: which is one part espresso and about three parts milk and foam.
